Located in the backyard of Mount Vernon, Washington Mill Elementary is equally proud of its past, present, and future. The land where George Washington once walked continues to serve as a farm, planting the seeds of a solid education for the students of Washington Mill.
Washington Mill Park is a wooded and cozy 9 acre park nestled behind Washington Mill Elementary School. There is a small playground off of the natural foot path as well as an easy and peaceful walking trail that winds throughout the woods.
MHC is a member of the Northern Virginia Swimming League, the country's largest summer league. MHC competes in both swimming and diving throughout the summer, and is appropriate for children of all abilities. Mansion House Junior Tennis Team competes in the Mount Vernon Community Tennis League. The club has an extensive social calendar for both adults and children including a Fourth of July family celebration, a crab feast, movie nights, and a variety of themed evening parties.
Located near the Mansion House Club, MHYC is a wonderful resource for boaters and is convenient for MVCA neighborhoods. Mooring, dry storage, launching, and rack storage are offered.
Mount Vernon Yacht Club is a neighborhood-based social club located near George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate just south of Washington, DC. Some people think a “yacht club” is only for boaters, but MVYC has something for everyone, every month of the year!
